Five years ago, amidst setbacks and challenges, I embarked on a journey fueled by passion and determination. Today, I am proud to announce the launch of Vedi Beauty, a brand born from a deeply personal journey towards holistic wellness.
Raised in San Francisco, where a culture of health-conscious living prevailed, I always prioritized an active lifestyle and wholesome nutrition. However, it was a diagnosis of anxiety that propelled me towards a holistic approach to health. Opting out of conventional medication, I embraced dietary changes and witnessed a transformative shift in my mental well-being within just a month. It was a revelation – the profound connection between what we consume and our overall health became crystal clear.
This newfound understanding extended beyond diet to encompass makeup. Recognizing the skin as the body's largest organ, I delved into research on the impact of makeup products. Disheartened by the lack of alignment between mainstream makeup and my newfound values, I set out to create a solution.
As someone who prefers minimal makeup yet desires a touch of color, I struggled to find long lasting lipsticks with skin-centric ingredients that complemented my multi-tone lip color. This frustration echoed among others facing similar dilemmas, compounded by the disparity between lipstick appearances in stores and at home.
Determined to fill this gap, I embarked on the journey to create Vedi Beauty's signature lipstick line. Each aspect – from formula to shade selection – was meticulously crafted to cater to diverse lip tones and golden skin. The result? Six essential lipstick shades boasting a highly pigmented, weightless, and hydrating formula with a creamy satin finish.
The journey was arduous, spanning years of research and formulation. Every ingredient was carefully chosen for its purpose, reflecting my commitment to creating products I would confidently use myself. Each shade, a reflection of the essential hues that complement golden skin tones and two-tone lips, was thoughtfully curated to ensure universal appeal.
Beyond product formulation, Vedi Beauty embodies a deeper philosophy rooted in knowledge – 'Vedi,' meaning knowledge in Sanskrit, serves as our guiding principle. Symbolized by Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, our brand ethos underscores the power of informed choices in makeup and wellness.
